Our Chess Club progresses from Beginners to Advanced level. Each week the chess coach conducts a lesson to teach a new skill at the student's pace. Beginners start by learning the rules and how to play before progressing to learn some basic checkmates and strategies. Intermediate and Advanced players learn about opening theories, tactics, strategies and endgames, improving their game and expanding calculation skills and foresight they had been developing.
Time is also given to play friendly and competitive games against each other and to solve simulated chess puzzles.
Our robotic programming and coding class will provide students with fundamental knowledge and solid concepts in robotic programming. Scratch, an interactive program language developed by MIT in USA, will be used in the subject delivery. Students will learn from basics how to use the existing program modules to manipulate the Mbot and then to a higher level of developing their own modular program to instruct the robot to execute different commands. Once students are familiar to the logics of the modular program, they are encouraged to work on the projects developed with their class teachers. The robotic programming class will be an interesting and rewarding exercise.
