​Begina is registered creative and active kids provider, please remember to redeem your voucher for suitable programs and do not leave it till the end of the year.

NSW Government is helping your cost of living with more than 70 rebates and savings including Creative Kids and Active Kids, which is all about making it easier for school-aged kids (4.5 to 18 years old) to get involved in creative and sports activities.

Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $100 creative kids voucher & $200 active kids voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers.

It's a great opportunity to let kids find their passion and learn new skills.

Welcome back to another term in 2021! 
I am delighted to see so many smiling faces in the classes to enjoy our Pre-Kindy and Primary programs. Also, lots of smiling faces on the parents for their talented children.
Our staff are really looking forward to a very successful year for your children.
In the beginning of 2021, we would like to invite students who has been learning drawing more than 2 terms and age above 5 years old to participate in the Young Archie competition. The Young Archie competition invites budding artists between the ages of 5 and 18 to submit a portrait.

There are four age categories:
1. 5-8 years old
2. 9-12 years old 
3. 13-15 years old
4. 16-18 years old

For competition preparation classes, please contact the centres directly for booking information, contact details are as followed. Classes are scheduled outside normal lesson times.

To all concerned parents,

Our Lidcombe centre will resume operation as normal from Tuesday 8th September 2020, our staff will contact all cancelled families individually on Tuesday to arrange a suitable time to do make-up lessons. We are especially thankful for all the families who got affected by being so supportive and understanding.
As you are aware, Lidcombe Public School was non-operational for on-site learning, today Monday 7 September 2020, due to a student who tested positive to COVID-19. 
NSW Health has advised us that following additional testing this case is negative, meaning this person is not infected with COVID-19.
The staff and students who were identified as close contacts will be contacted directly by NSW Health and released from isolation.

During the past 2 days, all of our staffs and LPS students have taken a COVID19 test and return with all NEGATIVE result, the classroom has been thoroughly cleaned by professional cleaners.

Students who are pending for a test result, Begina will keep 1-week credit towards term 4 2020 or September school holiday.

We cannot hold credit for other reasons unless there's a medical certificate provided to cover the entire period or a positive COVID19 result. Your understanding is appreciated in this situation.

The areas surrounding Lidcombe and Parramatta have many confirmed cases of COVID19 cases from the news. Fortunately, we haven't received any confirmed cases from our students.

The advice from NSW Health is that for anyone who attended the following venues during the dates and times below are advised to monitor for symptoms, and if symptoms present, however mild, isolate and get tested:

• Rhodes Ikea on 8 August, between 1:20pm -2:20pm
• Parramatta Westfield on 5 August between 4pm-5:30pm and 8 August between 12pm – 1pm 
• Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club from 5pm on 7 August to 1:30am on 8 August
• Castle Towers Shopping Centre on 7 August between 3:30pm – 5pm 
• Baby Bunting, Penrith on Saturday 8 August between 1.15pm - 1.45pm 

If you were there on one of these days, certainly get yourself tested and because you are at home with your children, thttps://www.health.nsw.gov.au/news/Pages/20200812_00.aspxhey will need to stay home too until a negative result for COVID-19 has been texted to you. Then, please let us know what has happened. It is crucial that we remain COVID free and adhere to all the guidelines provided for us by NSW Health to ensure we stop the spread.

For children education services like Begina, children are almost impossible to keep a good social distance, we are trying to be more vigilant and encourage all students to get tested regardless if you been to the hot spots.

For ALL currently enrolled students, Begina Centre strongly recommend you to take a test in the nearest clinic at your earliest convenience. Families do not own private transport please book by calling our office for a FREE shuttle service, we drive your whole family to the testing centres.

Dear families,

We hope you are well. It's been a while since you've heard from us! We miss the students a lot and are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon! 

We need your help to plan for getting classes started again. Some adjustments will have to be made, but we want to make sure they will work for you. If you will be coming back, could you please fill in this form and let us know the days and times you need?

We currently have no firm date to reopen but am hoping that it will be within the first 2-3 weeks of term 2.

We are preparing for the possibility of schools closing for an extended period of time and are finalising a limited day program for K-6 students who have working parents.

If you have a need to put your children in our care should schools close for an extended period of time, please email us first so we can better cater for everyone.

Begina preschool classes will run as normal.

All classrooms will maintain a ratio of 1:6 children or less, and our maximum total capacity will be 25 students for each centre.

New enrolments will be required parents to provide details of travel history. We ask for your understanding of this requirement during this period of time.

Please be assured that health is our first priority. We have increased vigilance around hygiene, hand-washing and protocols to prevent the spread of cold and flu. We have placed hand sanitisers in each classroom and waiting area, and all teachers and staff have been actively reminding students to frequently wash their hands between each activity and also before they have any snacks/food. As the student ratios are low, the centres are not crowded and remain very safe. 
​We ask all families to continue to be considerate of the health of others. If your child has not travelled but has flu-like symptoms or symptoms of any other illness, please keep them at home until they are well. We have asked the same for our staff and therefore classes may be cancelled or changed with short notice.
